Homemade Cereal Bars
Creator: Leslie Stokes
These bars make for the perfect on the go breakfast or snack and are so easy to make that you will never buy store bought again!
You can customize these bars to any flavor you want! Today I am sharing a chocolate peanut butter recipe, but I really think a strawberry version would be so so good using freeze dried strawberries and white chocolate….stay tuned because I definitely will be making those!
Ingredients:
- cereal: I love using a clean cereal like Three Wishes for these bars because it has tons of protein in it, plus it is sweetened with monk fruit instead of refined sugars! You can pick it up at your local Target or Sprouts!
- peanut butter: or any nut butter of choice! If making the strawberry version or one with sprinkles, I would probably use cashew butter.
- protein powder: I use Truvani
Lets make them!
It really doesn’t get much easier than mixing all of the ingredients together in a bowl, spread into a pan and top with melted chocolate- literally that is all you have to do!
I highly suggest making a double batch because if your kids are like mine, they will be gone so fast!
I like to leave these in the freezer and pop them out as we eat them, they do tend to fall apart just a little and keeping them in the freezer helps them stay together. They do not turn hard and defrost in seconds!
