I have been fully obsessed with the viral Japanese cheesecake trend lately. You know when a recipe just scratches a specific itch and you keep coming back to it? That’s been this for me.
I’ve made so many versions over the past few weeks — dessert versions, snack versions, late-night versions — and then this week I realized I was a little burnt out on eggs for breakfast. I wanted something sweet, satisfying, and high protein that didn’t feel like typical “breakfast food.”
So naturally I turned it into breakfast.
This version honestly might be my favorite yet. It has that creamy cheesecake texture, a little crunch from the graham crackers, fresh strawberries folded in, and the white chocolate shell on top that makes it feel like a treat instead of something healthy.
And somehow… my kids are completely obsessed with it too. Which doesn’t always happen with my higher protein breakfasts.

The protein comes from Oikos Pro Greek yogurt — the only Greek yogurt I use. One serving has 25g of protein, which makes this actually filling instead of just tasting good for five minutes and leaving you hungry again.
I love recipes like this because they don’t feel restrictive. It tastes like dessert, but it keeps me full, and it takes five minutes to make. That’s usually exactly what I need in the morning.
I also love how customizable it is. You can change the fruit, swap the chocolate, add peanut butter, make it more dessert-like or more breakfast-like. Once you make it once, you kind of start thinking of a dozen variations immediately.
Some mornings you want eggs. Some mornings you want something cozy and sweet. This has been that for me lately.
