The Best Burger Sauce for Bowls, Burgers, and Fries

Let’s be honest — a good sauce makes the meal. And this homemade Burger Sauce from my Meal Prep in One Hour cookbook is the secret weapon that takes your burger bowls (and everything else) to the next level.

Creator: Leslie Stokes

This one is creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet — made from simple ingredients you probably already have in your fridge. I love using it for burger bowls during the week, but it’s just as good drizzled over fries or dolloped onto your favorite protein.

What’s In It?

You only need a few pantry staples:

  • Light mayonnaise or Greek yogurt

  • Ketchup

  • Dill relish

  • Honey

  • White vinegar

  • A pinch of salt

That’s it. No chopping garlic or blending anything — just stir it all together in a small bowl or mason jar, and you’re good to go.

Why You’ll Love It

This sauce isn’t just for burgers. Here’s how I love to use it:

  • Meal Prep Burger Bowls: This is the go-to. Add your cooked protein, roasted potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and drizzle this on top. Instant burger vibes without the bun.

  • Sweet Potato Fries: I swear this sauce was made for dipping fries. That mix of tangy and sweet just hits differently.

  • Wraps + Sandwiches: Slather it on for that classic burger flavor — even if you’re just using leftovers.

  • Veggie Bowls or Roasted Veggies: Don’t knock it ’til you try it.

How to Store It

Once mixed, this sauce keeps in the fridge for up to 10 days. I always recommend storing it in a glass jar for easy access and better flavor preservation. Just give it a stir before using.
