on-the-go snack series is all about having, healthy, easy to prep snacks that last all week long and this high protein ranch dip is one of my favorites!

I have been on a huge cottage cheese kick lately, so it’s no surprise, i’m sure, that the protein in this dip is from the cottage cheese!

cottage cheese has so many surprising benfits including:

– an excellent source of calcium, and vitamin b12

– blood sugar managment- great alternative for people with type 2 diabetes

– contains cassein protein which is great for muscle recovery 

-health: cottage cheese is an excellent source of selenium, a mineral that plays a big roll in thyroid health.

The Deets:

this recipe is another incredibly easy and simple recipe!

you simply throw everything into a food processor o rblender to whip it up.

what you need:

  • cottage cheese
  • lemon juice
  • avocado
  • jalapenos
  • ranch seasoning- i do love this one from trader joes because it is clean and taste amazing.       
 
  • you can definetly make your own ranch seasoning using, onion powder, garlic, dill, parlsey, salt and pepper, but i have learned over the years, people love convience and this premade seasoning taste just the same!
  • the texture on this will be on the thicker side, alomst like hummus. I actually think this is a great alternative for hummus, if you have any kind of allergy or your stomach does not like hummus, like mine!

use your favortie chips, crackers or veggies for dipping and enjoy!

High Protein Jalapeno Ranch Dip

This HIgh Protein Jalapeno Ranch Dip is the perfect snack- it's high in protein, full of flavor, healthy, easy to meal prep and perfect for on the go!

Equipment

  • food processor or blender

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups low fat cottage cheese
  • 1 avocado
  • juice from one lemon at least 1 tbsp to taste
  • 1 chopped jalapeno to taste
  • 1 tbsp of your favortie ranch seasoning the one from Trader Joes is my favorite
  • ****you might need to add 1-2 tbsp of water depending on the desired texture

Let's Make It
 

  • Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and blend for 1 minute or until smooth and creamy (hummus like texture)
  • Use your favorite veggies, chips or crackers for dipping
  • This does make enough for 4-5 servings depending on the desired amount
