You know those moments when you want something sweet but also nourishing? This Butter Fried Dates and Bananas recipe is exactly that. It’s rich, caramelized, and cozy — but it’s also packed with natural sweetness from dates, bananas, and a little drizzle of honey. I love serving this over my homemade vanilla Greek yogurt for breakfast, but honestly, it’s amazing as a snack or even a healthy dessert.

The butter makes everything extra dreamy — I used Kerrygold because it has that creamy richness — and a sprinkle of cinnamon ties it all together. Plus, it comes together in under 5 minutes. You can even prep the yogurt part ahead of time so all you have to do is quickly fry up the fruit when the craving hits.

Why You’ll Love It:

  • Naturally sweet without any refined sugar

  • High in protein from Greek yogurt

  • Takes just a few minutes

  • Can be made gluten-free and dairy-free easily

Serving Ideas:

  • Serve warm right over cold yogurt for the best contrast.

  • Also amazing spooned over oatmeal, pancakes, or even ice cream!

Tips:

  • Make it a meal prep snack: Stir together a few servings of the vanilla yogurt ahead of time and keep it in jars in the fridge.

  • Switch it up: Add chopped walnuts, chia seeds, or a sprinkle of granola on top for extra crunch.

  • Dairy-free version: Swap for a coconut-based or almond milk yogurt and use a dairy-free butter.
