Servings 32 (1 tablespoon each)
1 cup water 1 cup packed brown sugar ½ cup pure pumpkin puree 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon Pinch of salt
Add the water and brown sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Whisk in the pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and gently simmer for 5–7 minutes, whisking occasionally.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Strain through a fine-mesh strainer if you prefer a smoother syrup.
Allow to cool, then transfer to clean, airtight glass bottles or jars and refrigerate promptly.
Shake well before using. Add 1–2 tablespoons to your favorite coffee or latte.
Recipe Notes Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
Shake well before each use because natural separation may occur.
Store refrigerated at 40°F or below and use within 5–7 days as a conservative homemade-storage recommendation.
Freeze in small portions for longer storage.
For gifting, include a “Keep Refrigerated” label.
