1-2tbspKinders French Onion seasoning or French onion soup mix (optional)
Cheese (aged American, mozzarella, or your choice) for topping
Let's Make It
Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot, spreading them evenly.
Place the chicken over the onions.
Pour the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and balsamic vinegar over the chicken and onions.
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, parsley, and garlic powder. If you’re using the French onion seasoning or soup mix, sprinkle it evenly over the chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
Once the chicken is done, add slices of aged American or mozzarella cheese on top of each chicken breast, cover until the cheese is melted.
Serve with roasted potatoes and veggie of choice, I love steamed green beans with this!
