Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

WIngs:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tbsp baking powder for crispy skin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Hot Honey Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce Frank’s RedHot or your favorite
  • 1 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat

Let's Make It

  • 1. Prep the Wings
Start by patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove any moisture—this is key for crispy skin. Toss the wings in a bowl with baking powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • 2. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. This helps the wings cook evenly and crisp up faster.
  • 3. Air Fry the Wings
Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes, flip, and cook for another 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy. For safety, check that the internal temperature is at least 165°F.
  • 4. Make the Hot Honey Sauce
While the wings are cooking, combine the honey, hot sauce, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne pepper in a small saucepan. Heat over low, stirring until smooth.
  • 5. Toss and Serve
Once the wings are done, toss them in the hot honey sauce until fully coated. Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing, celery sticks, and plenty of napkins!
