1-2jalapenos- seeded and diceduse 1 for flavor or 2 for a kick of spice
¼cuppacked brown sugar
⅓cupyour favorite BBQ sauce
2tbspyellow mustard
a dash of whiskeyoptional- subsitute with bbq sauce
1/8cupwater
4slicesof bacon
Let's Make It
Preheat the over to 400℉
Rinse and drain the beans- pour into a 9x13 baking dish.
Dice the onions and jalapeno and chop the bacon into chunks- add to the beans.
Add the brown sugar, BBQ sauce, mustard, whiskey and water to the beans and give it a good stir.
Cover the beans with tin foil and bake in the oven at 400℉ for 1 hour, pull the tin foil off and cook for another 10-15 mintes.
Let the beans sit for about 10-20 minutes before serving.
